The Divorce Reset Podcast by Gina Bee

Financial Empowerment | Emotional Resilience | Future Planning

Some people think the word divorce is a negative word, but perhaps it should not be thought of in this way. Divorce may signify the end of an intimate relationship but it can also signify exciting new beginnings for the two people exiting the marriage. And not all marriages end in acrimony. Some former husbands and wives manage to retain a strong platonic relationship. With statistics suggesting that half of UK marriages end in divorce, divorce is a subject that forms part of everyday life. The Divorce Reset podcast is here to help people before and after divorce.

Olwen Jennings helps to empower and guide people through challenging times.

Before becoming a coach specialising in divorce, Olwen spent many years as a successful family lawyer. While she enjoyed helping people navigate difficult situations, she felt something was missing. The legal system often limited the scope of what she could do for her clients.

Olwen craved a deeper approach, one that addressed the emotional and personal aspects of divorce. You can hear more from Olwen and Gina in the Podcast.

In a previous life, Olwen worked as a Family Lawyer, dedicating herself to helping individuals navigate through some of life’s most challenging moments. Olwen believes her success stemmed from the empathy and genuine concern she showed for her clients. However, she found herself longing for a deeper connection and a more holistic approach to addressing their needs.

Motherhood shifted her perspective, prompting her to reevaluate her path. Olwen knew she wanted to continue helping others but in a more profound way. Thus, she embarked on a journey of self-discovery and retrained as a Life Coach, guiding clients toward positive transformations in their lives and belief systems.

As her journey unfolded, Olwen delved into the realms of belief systems, the mind-body connection, and spirituality. From a young age, she had an innate ability to tune into energy fields, which led her to explore psychic abilities, Tarot and Angel cards, and Reiki healing. Embracing these gifts allowed me to offer a unique blend of readings, coaching, and healing to my clients.

Why do we often walk down the aisle already hearing the faint ticking of a clock? In this episode of the Divorce Reset Podcast, our host Gina Bee sits down with Georgie Blackman, the founder of wellness brand GB Mindset, for a candid and deeply human look at the anatomy of a marriage that was never meant to be.

Georgie shares the story of her first marriage – a relationship that began with a childhood sweetheart and followed the “Disney” script of a white dress and a horse-drawn carriage. Yet, behind the scenes, a different story was unfolding. From the quiet realisation during the wedding planning that her need for connection wasn’t being met, to the moment she confessed her intuition to her father in the carriage on the way to the ceremony, Georgie explores the heavy weight of social pressure and the “fairytale” expectations that often drown out our inner wisdom.

The Power of the Gut Feeling

This conversation delves into the “lifespan” of relationships and why we often stay long after the intuition says it’s time to go. Georgie and Gina discuss the generational shifts in how we view marriage, the impact of seeing “estranged but stayed” role models, and the evolution of self-awareness in the modern age.

Whether you are currently navigating a separation, reflecting on a past relationship, or simply looking to understand the mechanics of human connection, Georgie’s story is a powerful reminder that “starting over” is often the most courageous act of wellness you can perform.

But more importantly, this is a story of resilience. Gina discusses how she rebuilt her world from a flat filled with boxes to a thriving seven-figure career, all while redefining what it actually means to be free.

In this episode of the Divorce Reset Podcast, Gina Bee sits down with Jo Searle, a woman whose journey through separation and divorce became the ultimate catalyst for a radical life transformation. Jo shares the raw and deeply personal story of how the “perfect storm” of the COVID-19 pandemic, a turbulent divorce, and undiagnosed ADHD led her into the arms of a toxic, covert narcissist.

Jo provides a candid look into the reality of narcissistic abuse – from gaslighting and serial infidelity to the “silent treatment” and stalking. She discusses the vulnerability that often follows a major life upheaval and how she eventually found the strength to break the cycle.

Through her recovery, Jo discovered the profound impact of somatic coaching and trauma therapy, eventually pivoting from a high-stress corporate career to becoming a qualified trauma-informed practitioner herself.
